Seasonal recipe: Summer salad with poppyseed dressing

This salad serves six to eight and is a seasonal favorite. Its deliciously light, fresh and flavorful taste will be sure to please guests at dinner parties, potlucks or picnics. Savor this salad with a bowl of gazpacho soup and glass of white wine.

For the salad you will need:

1 head romaine lettuce, rinsed and dried and chopped roughly
1 package fresh strawberries, either cubed or sliced into ¼ inch pieces
1 red onion, sliced into ringsFor the dressing you will need:1 cup mayonnaise
½ cup vinegar
⅔ cup sugar
½ cup 2% milk
3 tablespoons poppy seeds

Toss together lettuce, fruit and onions. Whisk dressing ingredients in a small bowl and drizzle over salad.
